We keep on doing our holidays homework exercises. In this second session we deal with realtive clauses, pronouns and addition idioms.

  1. We’ve done today the exercises. I’ve jot down some comments about the solutions.

    In D en (17) we can also use that because was a model is a defining clause. But in (18) we cannot use that because there is a comma after the main clause AND the next relative clause is a non-defining clause. Finally in (23) we cannot use that for the same latter reason.

    In F, (34) is wrong because in addition to can only be followed by an -ing or a noun. The right solution is on top of that.
