After finishing this English learning term in Intermediate 2 Level at the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Santander and before the next week examination time starting with the reading, listening and writing part on Tuesday at 4 o’clock, I want to jot down some of the web resources I’ve been using for studying and learning English.
The central nodal point of the resource network is the personal web page of María Luz García Imhof in EduCantabria portal, my English teacher this course. She has lots of interesting links. Above all of them, two blogs, one dedicated to Intermediate 1 level students and another one dedicated to Intermediate 2 level students (that is, where I’ve been)
In section Readers, there is a worksheet with exercises related to the book we had to read this year (This Time It’s Personal by Alan Battersby) The most interesting section I think is Self-Study Resources where I’ve found very useful links for doing listening (where there is on-line multimedia material for training listening skills), reading and grammar quizzes (from UsingEnglish site)
Well, apart from my teacher’s website, there is the British Council LearnEnglish website, a portal which links to all the British Council’s websites for teachers and learners of English. It has a section, “for work and study“, where you can download audioclip podcasts.
